Dr. Dilling is originally from Fletcher, Oklahoma. He received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma where he also completed an internship and two residencies. He completed a fellowship at the Veterans’ Administration Hospital followed by general surgery and thoracic surgery residencies at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center where he served as chief resident of surgery. He has practiced with Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons since 1980. He is a Fellow of the American Heart Association and a Diplomate of the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Dilling previously specialized in adult Cardiothoracic Surgery including heart transplantation, coronary bypass surgery, valve repair and replacement, minimally invasive surgery and off-pump coronary bypass surgery. He now practices full-time with VeinSolutions. Dr. Dilling has been appointed to various leadership positions including President of the local chapter of the American Heart Association. He is also an active member of the Texas Medical Association, Travis County Medical Society, and the Southern Thoracic Surgical Association. Dr. Dilling has participated in numerous research studies and has authored many research articles in his specialty.
Dr. Jeff Apple is originally from Dallas, TX. He completed medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and his General Surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Apple then served four years in the United States Navy where he served as a staff surgeon at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. During his time in the Navy he was deployed twice to the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He completed his Vascular Surgery fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX. He is an active member of the Society of Vascular Surgery, Alpha Omega Alpha, the Society for Vascular Ultrasound and Parkland Surgical Society. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is board-certified in general surgery and vascular surgery. He has received numerous teaching awards and published several papers in the field of vascular surgery. His special interests include catheter-based treatment of varicose veins, cosmetic sclerotherapy and the treatment of acute deep venous thrombosis. Prior to joining VeinSolutions in August 2009, Dr. Apple practiced with Jackson Surgical Associates in Jackson, TN.
